Google Voice as primary talk/text app on Galaxy S3 vs S2

Hi guys Im wondering if anyone has any specifics on whether using the google voice app primarily (believe i've found a service provider who will let furnish me with a data only plan, no talk or text) will pan out.

Hoping to make google voice the all in one solution it is.

Heard folks are having problems with S3, although not being able to get "voice actication" to work on home screen is not a big deal to me

Have not had either the s3 or the s2 or known anyone with it was wondering if anyone with some knowledge can lend some input.

im talking 100% utilitarian functionality:
-does it call and have good quality on par or exceeding a std. voice call,
-do texts bug up or anything,
-do the calls actually ring when a user calls, and not hide in the missed calls folder without having rang you or notified you
-does the interface hold up to rapid switching to and fro the different "inboxes"
things of that nature...
