Google voice notifications

Is there a way to have Google Voice give reminders if you missed the notification? I have too check my phone to see if I missed any notifications. This seems like a glaring omission.

I don't know about reminders, but GV has a widget that will show your most recent message.

I use the widget already. Handcent can be set up to beep additional times if the notification isn't cleared. I want GV to do the same thing.

If I have my google voice sms forward to my regular number and then I text the person right back, will it show that it came from my gv number or my regular cell number?

If you have Tasker, you can download the Missed Notification Reminder profiles from the Tasker Wiki. It provides repeating reminders for missed calls, Google Voice, Gmail, SMS/MMS and Calendar, and can be modified to accommodate any app that produces notifications.

But yes, it is a glaring omission, imo.

If you're replying it goes out via your GV number. If you draft a new message directly to the contact it will come from your regular cell number. Note that GV forwarded messages don't come directly from your contact's number.

I just wanted to say thanks again. I got this working the other day and it is a big improvement to GV. Google, if your listening this should be included with the app.
