Google Voice to Text ...over working! Bug!

Google Voice to Text is putting all the possible versions into the text bubble. So I speak "Ask Ashley first" and GVI puts the following into the text bubble. ......Ashley Forest Ashley first Ashley Force Ashleigh first Ashley finished....... WTH?! Its even worse when I have a lot more to say.

Same exact thing here. My fiance and I both have the Google Pixel and both of our phones are doing the same thing. It's repeating our sentences four or five times. Extremely irritating! Restarted my phone, went to settings, checked the language, talk-to-text settings, microphone setting, OK Google settings, etc, anything and everything I could think of but nothing has fixed the problem. Here's a screenshot of a message my fiance sent me like an hour ago.

Same exact problem on my zte Zmax2, and it's still on Lollipop 5.1. I'll say (for example) "I am Dave" and it'll type out "I am Dave I am day I am daze IMD. I AM P.O.'ed! WTH is happnin here?

Mine just started today, also, on my LG G5. What can I do to fix this? It is driving me absolutely around the bend. Now I just voiced to text here and everything is fine, and no double and triple and quadruple words / sentences. So why when I am texting is this happening and how do I fix it?

I typed in 'Google Voice to Text has gone nuts! Keeps repeating.' exactly that and no more, on my search engine and got an astonishing number of returns. Interesting! Here's a page with a few different solutions you all might try:

A thread on Verizon about it - my connection's too slow today to find out if all the sufferers there got an answer: https://es.verizonwireless.com/sdcommunity/thread/928892

I think it was a Google problem and mine appears to be working ok now. Hope it stays that way.
I think you're right. With so many different devices being afflicted with this problem, how could it be otherwise? I did see another tidbit today, for those who have S Voice onboard: the advice was to disable it and apparently a few people got relief from that.

Google has difficulties staying out of conflict with other apps, especially right after one of their updates but, from what I saw on my search, this has been happening regularly for five years at least. I had to filter my search to stay on the recent cases. It's only chance I wasn't in here with the same issues but I haven't had my S7 Edge long and haven't got around to trying that app yet.:) I'm glad you're okay now and I hope all the rest here can say the same.

I started having the same duplication problems after my latest update in early summer 2021. Most of the posts in this thread were from years ago, but it's happening again. I got this workaround from an Android user forum on Google. Open the Settings on your phone, choose General Settings, then General Management. Select Text to Speech and choose Google Text to Speech. Then go back to General Management and choose Keyboard List and Default. Choose Google Voice Typing. I still don't know what caused this problem, but this workaround has worked for me, at least for now.
