Google voice window at lower half of screen freezing/cant close

recently, my Motorola Moto x started experience that when I am using google voice in conjunction with my chat app, Textra, that google voice will just freeze in the lower third of my screen and therefore I cannot even access "apps" to force stop it.

Any ideas?
