Google voice

How can i get my text messages to be forwarded to my email address? I can't find the settings for them. I follow the instructions given in their video on the site but instead of voice and text settings i only get a voice settings option.

I'm on Verizon and have an lg spectrum.

You have to change settings in GV online (pc/laptop), not through the phone app.
GV >>> settings >>> Voicemail and Text >>> Text forwarding, click your email.

In settings there are a few options, they are Phones, Voicemail and Text, Calls, Groups and Circles, Call widgets, Billing and Account. Do you not have those displayed online when you go into settings?

I do but the "Voicemail and Text" option only shows as "Voicemail". Is it possible that this is a Verizon thing?

OK, so kind of embarrassing here/.....

In my frustration, i just went ballistic on the menus..... I only had a voicemail access number, not an actual google voice number..........................
