Google Wallet and Cricket.

I'm thinking about moving to Cricket since I'm in an area where they have LTE. I know a couple of the phones Cricket carries now are NFC-equipped.

My question is: I recall reading somewhere (forget where) that Cricket does not allow Google Wallet to be used on their phones. Is this the case? If so, would a custom ROM be able to use Google Wallet?

I have the S3 on Cricket, and from what I've read its been disabled for some reason. Honestly, I don't know any stores around here that accept Wallet, So I'm just going on hearsay.
