Google Wallet for S3?

Sorry if this has already been addressed but I was wondering if and when Google Wallet will be available for the Verizon Galaxy S3? Will we see it in JB? Is there some other method of getting it sooner?

I would try side-loading it. Put your phone into Airplane mode(disconnects from the carrier). Turn on WiFi and connect to your router. Open Play market download and install Google Wallet. After installation it should be OK to turn off Airplane mode.

I don't think side loading works for this. It looks like rooting is the only option. There are a lot of posts on here at "all things root" and also over at XDA. Best of luck to you!

Ive used it and its nice, but you have to be rooted and its pretty difficult, and i dont think it works with the stock rom. i dont think its worth the trouble, just waiting for isis to be released

I thought Verizon got the smack down from authorities and that they've been told they can't dictate what apps you can run on your device (aka tethering apps). How come they still have a stranglehold on Google Wallet? We can have Google Wallet now or wait for their bug infested ISIS that no doubt won't make it on VZW until 2013-14 and then probably be forced on every device at that time with no option to remove it. Grrr!!!!!

Several posts on several websites say you can sideload it on the SG3 even on Verizon and without root. I just cant find the file to sideload it with.

Yes, you can use the stock ROM. And if you can root your phone, you can easily install Google Wallet. It is not a difficult process. Cause if you wait for Isis, you'll be waiting a long time. I use GWallet at CVS, Starbucks, jamba juice, Best Buy, McDonald's, and waiting for Chevron to install Paypass soon, so for me, having to wait for the carriers to pull their thumbs out of their a$$
