Google working on a neural network that can guess where a photo was taken

Google is said to be working on a new neural network called PlaNet. The network will apparently aim to identify the locations a picture was taken. It sounds like Shazam, but for photos -- it analyzes potential buildings and landmarks in the photo and uses that to determine where the photo might have been taken. It's a much more difficult project than audio identification, of course, so we're not sure how long it will take for Google to make it happen.
