Google has unveiled RAISR (Rapid and Accurate Image Super-Resolution), a machine-learning image upscaling technique which can create high-quality images from low-resolution files. The technique is better than currently available super-resolution methods and is 10 to 100 times faster. This means that RAISR can run in real time on many of today's smartphones.
