Google's self-driving car has been involved in its first serious accident. The autonomous vehicle was hit in an intersection when a delivery van ran through a red light, hitting Google's vehicle on the passenger side. Fortunately, no one was injured in the crash. The So far, it appears as though Google's self-driving car is not at fault. Google claims that its vehicle did not enter the intersection until 6 seconds after it was given the right of way wit ha green light. According to Google, 94% of all red light accidents are caused by driver error.
