Recently got an update for my variant LG H932, a file namee: "JOAN OOS LGH932.tar"

What is the process for installing the update, and will I need to use LG Bridge?
thanks.

It should just install itself OTA.

From memory, LG firmware files have the extension .kdz, where did you get the tar file from? A reliable source?

Looks better, but flashing a kdz using LGUP wipes the device completely and reflashes from scratch.

I'd wait, tbh. Oreo isn't that big a deal and on both devices I've updated on it's not really improved anything (in some instances, it's actually made things worse). T mobile are rolling it out OTA at the moment so you won't have to wait long and you won't lose everything updating it that way.

Use LG Bridge to preform the update. That will connect to The Mobile and grab the correct file for your device.

You won't need to grab a file you're not sure about. Also, your phone won't be reset.

The OTA should be available yesterday/today, according to @askdes from T Mobile. It may not be available to your device just yet.

I just connected my phone and checked for updates, using LG Bridge. Took about 15 minutes with a 2.81 GB file. Not wipes or resets, just an in-place update. No resetting apps either. It just works!
