Got "wrong" MXIII version - what to do?

Monolitus

Lurker
hey,
i ordered a 2GB RAM MediaBox MXIII from DealExtreme
i got a box with 1GB RAM, even though the part number is identical to the original order
i know it is the 1GB version as Kodi and System Info Pro show this (784MB to exact :)
contacted DX and they have offered a $8 cash for next purchases ...
what do you think - should i take it ? return the box and ask for the 2GB RAM version? ask for higher compensation?

i mainly use the box for HD content viewing (Kodi, ShowBox, PopCorn etc)

cheers.

Tell them you have absolutly no use for the existing box cause it does not do what you want it for and that you will forget about it if they give you 70% refund and you keep the box .(maybe sell it on ebay to recoup the rest)

Thats what I did on ebay when seller sent me a DVD external read only drive and I ordered a DVD read / write drive. He offered $5 and i said I'll forget about it for $10. He paid and I sold it for $5 to recoup my original $15 I paid.
Good Luck!

Thanks.
As the box cost $60 I have requested a refund of at least $40 as I would need to buy an additional box with 2GB.... The response was that they give me $10 so I have told them that we'll start an RMA process...
lets see what happens next...

Your best bet is probably a PayPal dispute, and don't close it until you get your money back or the right product.
Also, you should not be responsible for return shipping charges for incorrect items.
Store credit should not be an option if you don't normally shop there. Unused credit is no credit.

thanks. As i didnt pay with Paypal this time (long time user of DX) so i cannot use the dispute.... DX stated that they are checking in their warehouse to see what can be done....

another question i have - i cannot install many of the google play apps (antutu, cpu z, many others) as it states my device is not compatible ... i havent seen any such reported problem in the web ... did i get a lemon?
