GPS App where I can tell it which roads to take?

This is a really hard thread title to word, so I apologize. I need a GPS that I can tell specifically which roads to take. I am planning on leading a fun run with a bunch of other turbo Miata guys, but the rout is very complicated, with many surprise turns. It covers 80 some backroads, and as you can imagine I don't want to be looking at a map the whole time, especially with a manual.

Can this be done with the google maps application somehow? Is there another program that would do this?

Ok, bump for another question. I made the rout I want to take in google maps and saved it to my maps, how do I load it up onto the phone's navigation system?

Just a funny thing, the route is so large that it took 3 separate legs to piece together, one map couldn't hold it all

EDIT: Ok, I've found out how to load a saved map, now how the hell do I navigate it?

If you can load a saved route to Google Maps on your phone, then try Menu-Directions and see what happens.
