What would u suggest is the best GPS app for city navigation and why?

What would u suggest is the best GPS app for off road navigation and why?

....Do not include price when considering. Simply looking for the best.

Personally I use Rmaps. You can build up your own database of maps and access without an internet connection. Could come in handy when you don't have internet. GPS works too on it.

I like Sygic Aura. It has many modern features and is very functional.
The advantages are Clear UI, Lane Assist, SignPost, 3D buildings, extensive POI management, import of your own POIs and assigning sound warnings when approaching them (ta~da, a speedcam...).

313.6mb just for the map of Michigan to download. I am assuming that if I do not download this, I will not be able to even use this program.

That's ALOT of data space to be taken up!

I'll check it out but Aura is showing pretty bad reviews. Why is that?
This application requires a high-end Android phone to run smoothly. I guess some people try to use their low-to-moderate phones and are disappointed to see the app running not smoothly on their phones. This might especially be the case if you move from the light Sygic Mobile Maps (no 3D).

The interface is pretty clear to me, although it is designed a bit differently than the Mobile Maps. Perhaps, the UI looks strange if you are used to Garmin. However, if you previously used TomTom, then it is again easy to use.

When I look at the reviews in Market, I really don't see convincing remarks as to why the poster gave a negative review. Saying "I don't like it" doesn't say much...
