Hi all, apologies if questions of this kind have been asked before.
I have been a long time apple user and changed from an iPad mini to a galaxy tab 4. One of the things the tab 4 is said to have is GPS. So I downloaded a area of Google maps to travel offline. Got the charger set up in my car then off I went.
Disaster! It was beyond useless, all i got was a searching for GPS notification and a frozen map as it was not seeing me move. It only would update when on WiFi. Im left perplexed, if Gps is present then why would it need WiFi to operate offline maps? Thankfully I had my windows phone with me that came to the rescue and it's maps got me to the desired location.
Any help greatly appreciated. Especially as my daughter wants me to use the same device to go Pokemon searching! Somewhat impossible if I can't get Gps to play nice.
Thanks.
