Help GPS gone, now location service?

I bought my LGG2 in February or something.

I used to have a GPS toggle in the top menus and it could turn GPS on and off.

Then one day android updated.

Now I have a location button instead.

Is this the same thing?

If not, I want my GPS chip functioning again. How do I turn my GPS chip back on if this useless update turned it off?

It's the same thing. Was one of the changes with Kit Kat.

Same with the Navigation app? I'm not finding that, has it been rolled into Maps?

Yes that is also part of 4.4. You have to go through maps. I actually prefer having it the old way with a navigation icon.
