Gps in ireland

I am traveling to Ireland in August... I have Verizon service, can I use the GPS portion of my Droid there???? Obviously it will safe me from getting lost...

i think the answer is no, at least not without being charged a lot.

GPS works fine, it's the cell network that is the problem.

Choices:
1) find a map program that will down load all your maps before had
2) pay money for data while there

Not even that. Ireland runs GSM.

GPS plus WiFi will work.
