So I my GPS started failing to lock reliably gradually over a week or so until it finally just would not lock in less than an outdoor unobstructed situation and then it would take forever.
Before this it was almost instant and always very accurate. I use and rely on it everyday so my reporting on this issue is an accurate account.
I Googled "nexus 5 gps delay" / videos / and found a few YouTube videos of guys showing how to fix it.
Basically the antenna contacts on the back cover are not supported and they kind of crater from under the spring loaded prongs.
I opened mine, lifted the flap the contacts are on and put a small piece of manilla folder under it and a small piece of electrical tape to hold it there and for a week now its been its old self again.
