Help GPS No fix w/o data?

I can no longer get a GPS location w/o a data connection.It makes navigation impossible if you go to areas w/o cell coverage.
I used to be able to get a GPS fix before the upgrade to jb411.

Has anyone else noticed this?

What mapping app are you using? Data would be needed for the mapping app to update the location. The GPS may have a fix but the software map may not keep up.

Actually, all the map apps will no longer work w/o data. google maps: should still show location even if it cannot give directions; gps share: just gives location data; mapdroid: just shows you on a map. Whats the point of GPS if you still need data which is NOT available everywhere
