GPS not locking

My HTC One X has a problem with a GPS. It is not locking into the satellites... I downloaded an app GPS Status and checked. All it is seeing is one satellite , even after 5 mts...and even then it is not getting a fix on it..

in fix/sat it is showing 0/1.

It was working fine a month back... any idea what could be the problem ?

Obvious question: has anything changed? Any software updates, new phone case, etc? (Yes, I did once have a case which interfered with GPS, though not that badly). I assume you had a data connection so that GPS Status could download assistance data?

I'm trying to guess whether it's worth clearing data for a specific app (sd opposed to a factory reset) but am not sure which one. On mine Fused Location doesn't have any data, and network location doesn't sound like the right thing (though can't be sure it's not misnamed).

If nothing has changed then it's possible it's a hardware fault. Unusual for them to develop, but not impossible. See what ideas others have first, but if you do try putting it in for repair (don't know where you are, but in the EU you'd still be in warranty) I'd try a factory reset first - a repair will do that anyway, so nothing to lose by trying yourself.
