Help GPS Not Working In Maps (Related to Update?)

(I apologize beforehand if this was covered elsewhere; I did a search on this topic and nothing recent came up related to the Nexus One.)

Hi all -- My phone hasn't been able to locate a GPS signal when using Google Navigation/Maps for about the past five days. I only really noticed this problem last Thursday... which seems about the same time I received the latest update. The timing would indicate the two are related?

The GPS is turned on, and the satellite icon displays on the toolbar. The phone displays "Searching for GPS" at the bottom. I'm running Locale, and it continues to recognize conditions based on location data... so it would seem the GPS is still working for that, at least.

Thanks in advance for any help you're able to provide.

I haven't had any problem with mine. Today I just loaded the latest maps update and it still works for finding location, too.

Do you have any apps that might be 'using' GPS and causing some kind of interference that you've been using? Since it just happened in the last 5 days, I don't think it's a hardware issue. Last resort would be to do a factory reset.

Are you in 3g when this happens? Because I've had problems in the past with gps failing in Google maps, but not when on WiFi, so give it a try on WiFi if you can :)

UPDATE -- I deactivated Locale and the location setting on Google (the only two services I could think of that would be hogging GPS) and tried it... no joy, it was still not working.

However...

Last night GPS began operating as normal again. It continues to function now, with Locale reactivated. I haven't a clue what's going on here, but as long as it's working I'm content!
