GPS position doesn't work

For some time now my GPS will not turn on. I use google maps and have had good luck seeing my position when I turned on the GPS. Now all I get is "your current location is temporarily unavailable" I've tried this in many locations. Any ideas? Thanks.

Make sure your GPS settings are all checked. Sometimes if I install an app that uses the GPS I need to uncheck and then check them off to get things working properly. Not sure why I need to do this but it seems to get things going. Help this helps!

same thing happened here. i have to restart my phone to get it work again.
