GPS shows no satellites

Hi all,

I have a Xiaomi Mi4 and I recently got screen replacement after breaking the screen. Now, my GPS shows no satellites (P.S. I used GPS Essentials app to check this). Could it be that I somehow loosened up some connections while the phone was open? Any other suggestions would be really helpful.

Can you make a test with the GPS Test app? If you are indoor please place your device near the window facing the sky.

Try installing this basic system/hardware info app, CPU-Z, and check if it detects the necessary sensors (in this instance any gyroscope and orientation related sensors):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cpuid.cpu_z&hl=en
If CPU-Z does see the 'gyroscope' sensor it should also show x and y coordinate numbers that change as you move around. Try toggling your phone's Location on and off a few times, and/or go into Settings >> Location and toggle through some of the different modes (High Accuracy, Power Saving, GPS only). Also, maybe your phone's GPS just needs to get reset. The 'GPS Status & Toolbox' app includes some reset and re-calibrate functions in its Menu options:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eclipsim.gpsstatus2&hl=en
But if CPU-Z does not see all your sensors, as a last resort you might want to try cracking your Mi4 back open and re-seat some of the various connectors.

Hi,
Here are the results of GPS Test, CPU-Z and GPS Status & Toolbox. I could not find any satellites with GPS Test. CPU-Z does show gyrometer connected and changes values while moving and rotating the phone. Also, tried changing location setting to GPS only. It was earlier High Accuracy. On GPS Status & Toolbox tried resetting GPS data and downloaded AGPS data. Still nothing.. Although, "Diagnose Sensors" on GPS Status & Toolbox does show GPS sensor available. All screenshots attached. All tests done out in open area/

If a factory reset can't bring your GPS back, I'm afraid that your will need to have your phone checked by a competent person.
