Help GPS signal lost, again...PLEASE HELP

I have been having GPS troubles with my Galaxy s5 phone for nearly 3 months now and I still have not resolved the issue. This is what I have done so far to try to fix the problem:

1. AT&T refreshed my network twice

2. This started with my s4 and then I got an s5, and then I got another s5

3. I changed the SIM card

4. I called Samsung

5. I force stopped Google Maps and cleared the cache

6. Spent several hours on the phone with AT&T support and Enhanced support trying to trouble shoot the problem

7. Master reset

8. Downloaded and several GPS fix apps and tried to reset AGPS as well as recalibrate it

9. Go into safemode

10. Check the screws under the battery to make sure that they are not loose

And it is STILL NOT WORKING. I am at my wits end and I do not know what to do. PLEASE HELP. SOS.

If after following those instructions, exactly, you still find an issue, then maybe your phone needs to be looked at for damage.

I think your problem is acquisition of the satellites, rather than a problem with the phones.
Even though our phones periodically do a "Fix" to locate themselves, it is not a completely accurate one.

When some GPS apps start, such as CoPilot Maps, the first thing they do is try to lock onto the GPS satellites and until that app secures a precise lock on position, it hangs up.

To preclude that from happening, I do two things.
1) make sure that either DATA, or WiFi is available so internet access is working.
2) boot up * GPS Status & Toolbox - Android Apps on Google Play

GPS Status & Toolbox does a query to a NASA server to obtain the current ephemeris which allows the apps to lock onto the satellites much faster. typically within a few seconds... this gives the phone a lock to within 10 meters typically.

Then I launch the mapping applications that require precise fixes before they will work.
This has resolved all of my GPS problems.

I have configured my phone's auto location fix to 5 minutes, down from the usual 0.5, 1 or 2 minute intervals.
If I am not using the phone, there is no need for the GPS receiver to be waking up every 30 seconds and trying to find a satellite. This just uses up battery power.
