GPS with voice commands in regional languages.

Hello guys, I have query regarding the GPS with voice commands in Android phones. Can someone help me how to activate the voice commands in LG-Optimus. Also I wanted to know, does the GPS support any regional language apart from English. Please help asap

Welcome SillyBillyGirl :)

By GPS voice commands, I assume you mean turn by turn navigation? If you open Google Maps, you should see a couple of icons at the bottom of your screen. The second one is a diamond with an arrow in it - this lets you choose where you want directions to. You can then chose "navigation" - this should give you turn by turn spoken instructions.

I believe that the directions should be in whatever language you have set your phone up in (I am not sure, as I have my phone set up in English)... I am pretty certain that you can get different voices that can be used, but think they cost extra money.

SBG, Welcome to AF,we are glad to have you, hope you enjoy the site, :ciao:

Thank you for the information. I doubt Google Map Navigation is available everywhere. I live in Mumbai, India. When I try to use Navigation it shows a pop up message 'Google Map Navigation is not yet available in this location'.

Also by regional languages, specifically in any Indian languages.
