i too am baffled by the lack of even a simple preset EQ in the stock music app on my droid, let alone the fact that there exists no android music app worth a damn that has any type of EQ. disappointing is an understatement.
i've seen the question posted on boards everywhere, no answers anywhere (except some claim you can get them on rooted phones. also, there is one completely worthless audio player that has an EQ on the market, but it is awful.)
that is pathetic. pathetic also that there is no comprehensive mp3/audio player app.
at this point, i have to assume that it can't be done for some reason. anybody?

Seems crazy to me that there wouldn't be a way to do it without rooting the phone. It's just a simple adjustment of the audio; could that really not be achieved with any type of code? I have a fairly nice set of headphones and I would like to be able to tweak the sound a bit. Even a basic 3-band EQ would suffice.
