Help Green LED stays on when screen is locked

Drew7777

Lurker
As soon as I tap the power button to lock my screen the green LED turns on and stays on (solid - not flashing). It is doing this even when not connected to a charger. Any ideas?

This is a Verizon GS3.

***DISREGARD - seems to have been related to installing Light Flow but not actually setting it up. Fixed by uninstalling, replicated with a re-install w/out configuring.

Welcome to the forums, Drew! :D

I'm so glad you got it figured out... and I'm happier still that you posted the solution so that others can learn from you. Great job!

Did you get it to work after configuring? I have setup my Light Flow and it is still giving me a steady green light when the screen is off. How did you get it to stop? The only think I have set to use a green light is my email and it's set to blink 'very slow' and clear when I pull down the notification menu...needless to say, it's not doing it.
Any help would be appreciated.

look on light flow, and see if you have got phone signal enabled......if yes, unable it and hopefully this should do the trick

No. Phone signal wasn't enabled at all. 'No signal' was, but it was set to pink. I disabled it just to be sure. I went one step further and disabled all notifcations one by one. It still displays a steady green light when on standby. Anyone else having this problem? I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times. No such luck.

This is a known fault with US versions of the S3. The devs know about it and hopefully will have it sorted on the next update. Reading the FAQ in the lightflow app or looking at numerous other threads here via a search could have told you this. It's been discussed a lot.

Nope - I'm just lightflow-less for the time being. I'll wait for a fix and then re-install. It's a great app, love the customization BY email address (disable LED for work email but retain it for personal). Also, no blinking light when I'm sleeping.

What a bunch of crap. Getting the "solid green light" when the screen turns off, and no way to change it.

Uninstalling Light Flow Lite. Giving 1 star. Terrible!
