Greenify vs Nougat Doze Feature

I have used Greenify for my Samsung S7 edge and liked it. I just received Nougat and understand it has a built in doze feature. So I deleted Greenify. I am finding the with Nougat, I need to constantly go to the battery setting and "re-doze" the apps all the time. Once they are used, they stay on. With Greenify, they are dozed as soon as I turn the phone off. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance for your advice.

Doze only works after certain criteria has been met. It won't activate if the screen has been on or if it detects movement within the last XX minutes (not sure how many).

It's basically supposed to kick in when it detects your phone hasn't been used for a period of time.
