Hello there, I just discovered this forum. I used to use a special edition G1, and use a G2 now. A phone of mine must have a keyboard. 
I haven't done anything in the way of rooting my phone, but have downloaded the Android SDK and have built the Hello Android app. Not very impressive, I realize
