Greetings from an old gadget and BB warrior

I am a member on TOS but, frankly, there wasn't as much activity on the AT&T/GSII forums as I had hoped. Lurked here for a while and it seems there's more going on, so I decided to join.

Been a cell phone user since about '94-95 and a smartphone user since my first BlackBerry (8700) back in '04-05 I think. Oh, also had several PDA's before the smartphones came along, including a couple of Sony Clie's, HP Jornada, Dell Axim, and Casio Cassiopeia. Moreover, I have gone through *many* BlackBerrys since then. I was a very active and strongly contributing member on CrackBerry for several years. I've also had a couple of iPhones and am now on my second Android, my first being the Atrix 4G.

Been loving my i777 Galaxy SII since Sept and am looking very much forward to upgrading to either the GSIII or Nexus later this year. Unless something better comes along in the meantime. (Also still using a BB Torch 9810 for work, which I still kinda like. :o)

I haven't yet rooted or modded anything with Android, but I was an avid tinkerer with all my BB's. At some point, I'll take the plunge and get consumed by it like I was with BB. Right now, I'm just enjoying tinkering with the official OS's settings and all the apps.

Looking forward to learning, chatting with everyone here, and hopefully contributing over time.

Welcome to the forums, bigoldthor!

I'm glad you stepped out of the shadows. :D

You seem like a real tech junkie! I like it!!! Since you've been an avid lurker, I'm assuming you know your way around. If not, let one of us guides or mods know if you need help with anything.

Have a good one!

Welcome Bigoldthor to Android Forums, we are happy that you joined, look around and enjoy. :hello: :congrats:

Also if you want to be able to connect to the Forums from your Android device, be sure to check out the free Phandroid app in the Google Play Market. Cheers!!!!

Thanks xmr405o and DonB! Looking forward to the boards, and I will definitely be downloading the Phandroid app now that I know about it.
