Hi everyone,

I'm so new to this, just got my device, and am currently charging it, I don't even know where to start. I've never had a smart phone before today. Have always functioned with a dumb phone. I will spend my time, once I get the phone set up, cruising the forum to find a lot of answers to questions I'm sure to have.

After I'm all set, probably the first app would be the flashlight. Which one is the best for the phone I've got (LG Enact)?

Anyway, hi from Colorado. Not high either!! I'm too old for that.

Thanks to both of you for the welcome. I sure don't like to be a senior citizen just getting their first smart phone. Technology isn't my strong point!

I visited the LG Enact portion of the forum (you both provided that link), but there was some terms used I didn't understand at all. Verizon doesn't offer a basic phone with a good Qwerty keyboard like my env3 does, and the only phone that does is a smartphone. Hence the only reason I joined the 21st century. In addition, the env3 is SLOWING down. It's no longer cost effective to get a new battery of replacement phone off Ebay.

At the moment I can't do anything with the phone. Seems Verizon didn't change my plan to the loyalty plan. Why they sent me a smart phone without a data plan is beyond me. So I'll continue to use my old phone until they fix it.

Well Pat, I won't give you links then since you have seen them already. <--Looks like your avatar which is awesome. No senior citizen talk here. I'm closer to social security than the drinking age, and a lot of folks here that are way smarter than me are older.

See, all of the phones here are Android, and 90% of it is the same phone to phone, so you can ask in the Android Lounge. If something you ask is specific to your phone, on of us moderators or guides will move it to the device forum. If your question is more related to Verizon Wireless, we can move it to the Carrier forum. The big thing here is we are a bunch of folks that like phones, technology, and most importantly, helping other folks.

As olbriar said, all of us started at step on at one point or another.
