Group/Family Calendar/To-Do App?

Norm1

Lurker
I've been unsuccessful in finding an app that my wife and I can use on our Samsung Galaxy S phones that would allow us to sync our calendars and give us a syncable to-do list so we can keep track of appointments, t-ball games, swimming lessons, etc. Basic stuff.

Anyone know of one and/or has any recommendations? Thanks!

For tasks, you can use Astrid, which you can sync to other people as well as "shared tasks", especially if you both are users.

I was able to come up with a combination that works for my wife and I. First you have to setup your Google Calendar for both phones as below and I use Astrid for the Task List part. 2 widgets for both functions.

Go to calendar.google.com and sign up for a free account.

Sign into your Google calendar account. In the main control panel, go to

One option that you may want to try is Cozi. Free Online Calendar and Mobile Application For Busy Families | Cozi

It is all the things you are looking for, the only downside is that it doesn't integrate into your existing Google stock apps. It looks pretty useful for a busy family though.

My wife, my 17 yr old step-son and I use Cozi plus you can update online and it goes direct to the phone. One downside is my wife keeps adding stuff to the grocery list while I'm in the store...

Oh, gotta go, need something else at the deli :D

Thanks for the recommendation. Cozi does look quite slick and easy to set up. But, boy are the widgets large. I needed 3 pages for the Calendar, Todo and shopping list widgets. Seems a bit laggy also on my first generation Captivate. It was a bit harder to enter a calendar entry also compared to stock Calendar app. You can add items online through your gmail calendar and astrid online also. I wished that astrid could cleanly integrate the calendar function of google calendar or that google calendar would have a task list app. I would prefer that latter (it does have an online one, but not on the android platform).
