Group texting issue with stock message app

I'm having an issue with sending a text to multiple contacts. It sends it to everyone and appears as a group text on my phone, but to the receiving contacts it appears as an individual message and not a group text. So when they reply it is just to me and does not file into the same message thread. which makes it really confussing and hard to communicate to multiple people

I have tried Handcent SMS and Go SMS, which solve the group texting and allow all reply issue, but I just don't like either of them as much as I do the stock texting service.

There has got to be a way to correct this on the stock version for the life of me I haven't found any option to do so.

Has anyone else encountered this?

im in the same boat. used go on my old phone but like the stock integration so i want to keep it with the stock sms/mms program. Im all ears if someone figures this out
