Grouping compilation albums

Lurker
This may be a stupid question, but I can't seem to find an answer to it, so I thought I'd ask it here.

I have a Droid and am having problems with the way the device is handling music albums that are compilations (eg, a collection of classic jazz titles). Each track has a different artist, but each is correctly set to be part of the same album.

When I view music by album, instead of a single "Classic Jazz" album I see multiple entries, one for each artist. Eg:

Albums
----> Album1
----> Album2
----> Classic Jazz
----> Classic Jazz
----> Classic Jazz
----> Classic Jazz
----> Classic Jazz
----> Classic Jazz
...
----> Classic Jazz
----> Album4
etc.

How can I get Android to correctly group them together into one album even if they have different artists, like this:

Albums
----> Album1
----> Album2
----> Classic Jazz
----> Album4
etc.

Thanks for any advice you can give me.

I had the same problem when I imported music using double twist. Here's how I fixed it (roughly). I apologize, I am not a techie and my computer vocab is lacking.

You can reorganize the folders in the music section of the droid. So mount the droid to your computer, open music folder in droid and you'll see the albums.

-Add folder for the name of the CD (eg. Jazz Greats 1)
-Within that folder add another folder for the CD (e.g. Jazz Greats 1 - subfolder)
-go back to the main music folder, search for the album (e.g. Jazz Greats 1) and all of the songs on that album that you are used to being grouped together willl show up.
-Select them all (except the folder you just made, which will also show up)
-Drag them to the "Jazz Greats 1 -subfolder"

This at least worked for me. Basically, for me, it's as though "Jazz Greats 1" is the artist, "Jazz Greats 1 -subfolder" is one album that artist made, and the songs are in that album.

Look at a successful grouping within your music folder as a template.
