Help GS3 continually tells me I have voicemails when I don't. Please help!

Hi all,

Recently my phone has been giving me voicemail notifications only to dial voicemail and hear I have none. It can do this several times per day usually when I leave phone signal for a while then enter a signal area again. The only way I can get the notification to go away is to force stop the phone app. I did recently put a voice message in the archives to save it, I thought that might be the cause but even deleting that didn't fix it.

Is there anything you can think of that would cause this kind of problem? I wish it would stop!

Thanks a lot

I had this problem and turns out it was my network provider that was the problem.

Call them up and they can reset your voicemail settings, took 2 mins.

Check to be sure you don't have any saved voice mail messages. Verizon will send me a notification like I have a new voice mail when a saved voice mail is going to be deleted.

I had this issue with Virgin Mobile. I'd recommend calling your provider as well to get your VM reset.

I've seen this ona couple of Nokia phones and the solution was to leave yourself a voicemail from another phone then go in to your voicemail, listen to the message then delete it and the notifications will go away.
