gs5 rom questions

My g900t with 5.1.1 is rooted. I'm looking for roms with better battery life. Do I need one that works with lollipop or can I use one based on kitkat? I don't understand why it matters since I will be flashing it.

If anyone can recommend any custom roms that would work for me, and that are for good battery life, let me know. As rooted, I've debloated, and Im using nova launcher, and I'm getting about 6hrs screen on time. I'd like more. The phone seems to drain fast in standby too.

Are you g900t with 5.1.1? 2 days would be awesome. All i do is text and browse, no social networking. How heavy a user are you to get 2 days?

6 hours of screen time?

I would hazard a guess your phone is doing pretty good as it is...

every time I have used an app that kept the screen awake, the battery goes down much faster than normal.
I don't think your experience is all that bad.

cut down the intensity to the lowest level you can still use, that will help a lot.

also, get rid of fancy wallpapers, those eat up a lot of battery.
I use Famous Black for all of my homescreens... no battery power needed for that. just what is needed to light up an icon.
