Root Gs5 virgin mobile root compatibility.

I just got a virgin mobile USA gs5 and I was wondering if rooting and Roms are 100 percent interchangeable between the sprint and virgin mobile version, as they have the same model number. Thanks for any help!

I'm on boost myself. We don't have too much action yet but we have successfully flashed Sprint's: 1 kernel, Ota update to NE5, and a TW rom and an AOSP rom...

So I'm quite sure being that we all have the same model, yes you can flash most of sprint's roms. I not sure about 100% interchangeable, but it's close to that number...
Just remember any modifications can result in a bricked phone, so be cautious.

I posted this question to xda as well, and JDSingle) got back to me and confirmed that the VM variant is 100% compatible with the Sprint Roms (Including TAR's) I've successfully installed various Rom's without issue on my VM variant of the S5.

*keep in mind, that roms made for non sprint variants will likely not work unless made universal.

So will if the sprint varient gets a software update before vm, would I be able to flash the sprint update for that?

Recently i was trying to get rid of the s finder and quick connect bar in my systemUI , but i did not backup my original apk or odex. the new apk did not work and now i have no statusbar at all. Could someone please help me out by uploading the stock systemUI.apk and systemUI.odex for virgin mobile?

So, I guess I have one more question. If I were to root, and then flash a custom rom that is compatible with sprint (same model number), would everything be functional? Including mms and 3g/4g data?
