i thought that the s5 mini was MP4 compatible? im downloading videos from youtube in MP4 format and when i transfer them , windows (8) says "Do you want to convert (file name) before its copied to your device?

No- just copy (your file will be copied but may not play on you device".
I click yes and it converts it from MP4 format to "Windows media audio/media file"
. It then doesnt play ANY sound of the video once on the phone. When i click No, dont copy the video it will do the same thing (video but no sound). How do i fix this?
