GS7 Edge - How is it performing a few weeks in?

Hi folks,

Considering going for the Edge but I'm curious as to how your devices are doing now that you've been loading up apps, using the phone, charging on the reg, etc. Still buttery smooth?

I got mine on 3/20... Not one single complaint!! It's still running great, using Google Now for voice commands, using a different launcher(don't like Touch Wiz), Battery life is SUPERB!! I highly recommend this phone! DO NOT WALK OUT OF THE STORE WITHOUT A CASE!!

Got mine (Exynos) on 9th March. Have to say I am very impressed with it!

I had the S6 Edge before and while it does not feel it is a massive leap from that one, they have made improvements to an already excellent phone.
The battery life is amazing. I had to charge the S6E throughout the day, the S7E will last me all day.
The camera is excellent. I don't think I have even scratched the surface of it's capabilities but I get very nice photos and videos from it. SlowMo video works particularly well.

Got the Exynos on launch day.. my first Samsung for a long time after getting bored with HTC's. The phone is phenomenal, everything is so fast on it.. the battery life is amazing & teamed with the fast charger you're never caught short. The camera is great on this thing too, auto focus has to be seen to be believed & finally I have a camera that takes the picture the moment I press the button.

For the first time in many a year I have a phone that I can't find any fault with.. even touchwiz is so much better now than it used to be, they've scaled it right back so it compliments the phone rather than irritates you.

Mine as been freezing from time to time, a bit irritating. If it didn't do that, it is a fantastic phone.
Not really sure if it is better than my Note 4 I had which never froze one time...

Excellent phone. Glad I made the switch from Apple.

Only complaint is that it crashed 2 or 3 times since I've had it (release date) for no apparent reason. It's not much of a bother but I'm wondering why it might have happened.

I had 3 different Verizon stores tell me that it will be fixed in next update. We will see.

Appreciate everyone's feedback. Took the plunge. Phone is amazing however I am noticing two issues:

When I create a new text in the texting app, some numbers I text regularly get a "Invalid recipient" error message. When i text that same person by creating a new message directly from their contact, no problem.

The screen sensitivity when browsing is INSANE. It seems if my finger even lightly passes a link it opens. I'm hoping this is a fixable bug and not a "feature."

I'm either choosing this phone or the new iPhone.

I'm in the Uk and I notice you guys are differentiating between the two different models. Is there really that much difference ?

im uk based and love the phone, however ive had the phone freeze up a few times now, starting to worry me. lots of memory still availible on it aswell.

Locking up or crashing or freezing or restarting in its own are big issues that suck. I will be reading intently to see if update eliminates it. I'm starting to feel lucky I was unable to purchase this phone due to unavailability. Please come back and let us know if update cures the problem. It has been my experience that vzw reps have no idea what updates will or won't fix and will say anything to get rid of an annoying customer who is not buying another phone right this second.

I like it a lot but some things feel a bit choppy. Web browsing is a bit choppy when scrolling though I've read that's a chrome issue. Although certain games that never had any issue at all on my old s5 are definitely choppy here. Is it just compatibility? Even when swiping in the edge menu, it feels a bit Skippy and not silky smooth like I would have expected.

Yup, more than likely, dont forget you are running Marshmallow as well, which is fairly new.

Chrome has always been a bit choppy as you describe. And i agree the Edge transistion/slide seems a bit sluggish as well, that's more to do with Touchwiz, which has always been a bit slow.

Solution, get another launcher like Nova/Apex etc. Although the edge panel will still seem a bit slow in comparison.
