Guest Account

My son keeps managing to set up a guest account from 'his' user account.
He will touch my icon whilst logged into his user account. Of course he don't know my password, but from that screen there becomes available 'make guest account' How can I disable this feature.

No as said, from his account, he will touch my user icon, then from there he will get option to create guest account.

What phone is this? I just tried creating a second account on my phone and that new user did not have the option to create a new account, user or guest. Only my (admin) account could do that.

You could perhaps tell him that if you find he does this he'll lose access to the device. It does say when you create an user that you should only share with people you can trust, so he has to show he can be trusted.

The device is a Samsung Tablet s4 I has all the latest downloads and is running UI2 Android 10
The user will not be allowed to create a new account, but they can click on admin account, which in turn will let them set up a guest account.
Kids will be kids (I was one too) they will agree, then use guest account behind your back.

Hmm, it does seem a bit crap.

There are apps that can require a PIN to access other apps: you could probably use one of those (on his account) to lock him out of the Settings, but you'd also have to lock him from the Play Store to ensure he couldn't uninstall it that way.

I don't have a recent Samsung tablet so can't say for sure what the options there are (I believe there are some extra options for multi-accounts on tablets, and Samsung modify Android a lot), but I can't find anything on my phone that does anything sensible like require my fingerprint to switch to the admin account. Which, as I say, seems extremely stupid (though for a company who have so many smart people on the payroll it is amazing how many stupid things Google do).
