guys is easytether and pdanet legal for tethering.

Not to be nasty, but are you worried about getting arrested by the Internet police? Don't worry about it if it works for you.

Peace.

Yeah...anyway im not scared with cyber crime or watever when i was in the philippines cuz they dont care wat u do there like downloading mp3s,video, hacking apps and gamez but i dont here in US. Some people get arrested in hacking stuffs they say i dont know if its true...so i dont do hacking just to play safe here lol...

No, there is no federal law stating you can't use EastTether or PDANET. You're mis-using the word legal. It has nothing to do with the law. What may or may not be a concern is if it is against Sprint's terms of use. To which, most would say who cares.

Many use ET or PDAnet with no problems. The people that get caught are streaming large amounts of data and things like that.

If your going to use it, check email and surf the web and maybe occasionally download some files and you will be fine.

it is not illegal to use the software...

It is against your CONTACT with your carrier; but it is not illegal.. issue is only between YOU and the Carrier.

They could legitimately charge you on a per kb rate (as I have read Verizon has done to at least one family), although I think it is unlikely. Just don't abuse it. If you abuse it, they will probably just send you a termination of service letter. At the end of the day they just want to make sure they are making money off of you.
