H, G, E, R wireless

What does H,R,G,E, which are next to wireless icon, mean?

To me "wireless" would mean WiFi, so I'd say these are next to the mobile/cellular signal icon.

Anyway, what they mean:

G means GPRS, i.e. 2g data.
E means EDGE, i.e. marginally faster 2G data
H is HSDPA, aka 3g data
R is roaming, so.connected to a different network from your own service provider.

Other connection types are UMTS (basic 3G), H+ (HSDPA+, fastest 3G) and LTE (4g).
