The bigger chunk of news with this is the WIDGET that is now built in.

Long press home screen, select Handcent (Medium) widget. Pretty Sweet.

It's a full widget, you can read, reply, and create all from the home screen.

It also has a widget icon that shows you how many unread texts you have on top of the icon. Though I already use LauncerPro for this functionality (compatible with Handcent)

I cant find any other widget other than the icon. What am I missing? I updated to the new version.

TT, in the widgets listing there is a Handcent(medium) choice list right after the Handcent(Icon) - or at least there is on my phone (HTC Eris). If it's not there on yours maybe you should try restarting your phone...

Did anyone have problems with Handcent breaking the incoming text vibration? I had it installed before, but after a while my phone wouldn't vibrate on incoming texts. was that fixed?

on the right side of the screen, above and below the picture, there are arrows, Up above, and Down below... that is how you switch between messages.

Yes, i saw that. But it only switches between the most recent contact. I was looking for something that switched between all conversations.

Is there a way to make an image shrink to size automatically? I'm a ChompSMS fanboy, but have been trying out handcent for a few days now.

With ChompSMS, if you send a camera pic .jpg, it automatically shrunk it to size. With Handcent, I get the following warning:

The picture/video you sent to ######### may not be received. The receiving service providers have a file size limit.

I sent it to 2 different recipients, and neither of them got it. I sent the camera pic using ChompSMS and they got it almost immediately.

There has to be a setting in Handcent to automatically resize the pic, but can't find it. And if you can resize it, what size or kilobytes do I change it to? Any help would be appreciated.

You can lock the widget, so you need to input a password before it displays any texts. When you turn your screen off, it locks again. Pretty sweet.

Not at all! Any man that abuses a woman is a coward!

The woman should have the respect to not go in your phone unless given permission. Just like I wouldn't go in a woman's purse.
