Handcent Dictionary?

Hi All

Im using Handcent for sms... Im just wondering is there anywhere where I can add words to the dictionary it uses for predictive text?

Like I cant even txt "dude" without spelling it out slowly on letter at a time...

Also words like "haha" etc...

I believe the predictive text is not a feature of handcent but of the keyboard you are using. I'm trying the SwiftKey x beta keyboard and the predictive text is very accurate. I'm also using it with handcent.

Well what does that app do? Im sure having an editable dictionary isnt the only thing it does?

The SwiftKey app is a keyboard app so it would give you another style keyboard to use on your phone.

You can add to your dictionary via your settings .. it's usually under Language & Keyboard > Keyboard Settings > Touch Input > Personal Dictionary.


Also usually when I go to input a word not in the stock dictionary it offers me a chance to "add word"; if I do that it then adds that word to the stock dictionary.

The messaging app uses the stock dictionary so any changes made should then be available to you whatever app overlay you use.
