handcent not working right?

Hi,

I'm new to Droid (which I love!) and the forum...I've recently downloaded Handcent and like the app but like alot of people when I get notified of sms incoming its in the stock 'Messaging' format, not Handscent format.

I've done what other posters have rec'd i.e. turning off notifications and auto retrieve in the stock app and then made sure these items are turned on in Handscent and still have the problem.

Anyone else have any ideas for me?

u need to set handcent as your default texting app...try sending a text to a contact and select it

I think I did this....how would you make Handcent the default?

goto your physical contact list and when u open a contact it should ask u to set the default app
