Anyone else getting this? I get messages on time, but then receive the same message again a few hours later.

Handcent re-receives messages

This sounds like it may be a problem with your carrier rather than your handset or Handcent.
I had a spate of this with Vodafone for awhile and in the end I contacted their customer department and it stopped.

They sent me a new SIM card but I don't know what they did, if anything, their end.
There have been instances of certain handsets, i.e. the Samsung Galaxy Europa, where this has been happening. See here:-

Another thought that occurs to me is that you should ensure that all your stock messaging (the messaging app that came with the phone) settings are disabled.
