Handcent - selecting contact for new message?

I've just started using Handcent on my HTC Desire and I was so impressed with it!

But I've just seen that when I want to creat a new message, and I start typing the recipients name into the "To:" box, it isn't bringing up any of my contacts.

The "messages" program that comes with the phone doesn't have this problem - any ideas?

Only works for me that way when I take a pic and send it out via MMS. normal messages it doesnt drop down the name....not sure why... you have to hit the (+) green thing on the right to get a list of contacts.
