handcent SMS is AMAZING!! I have an htc droid eris, the messaging app on the phone works and looks great, but handcent is better with the quick text popups, and the many different customization options. This app has the most customization options that I have ever seen for any application. you can completely change anything you want, any thing from the colors to the overall look. this sms application also includes speech to text and text to speech, this feature works alright, I personally don't use it that much. but it is available. Its a free app that I highly recommend.
