handcent sms only shows number and not name

when i get a msg it only shows the number and not the contacts name , how can i get it to show the name instead so i know who is texting me and not have to look at contacts to see who it is

You may think this is a dumb question but are you sure you have the name in the contacts field and not the phone number?

lol yeah i had name and number , but i just figured it out . i had all contacts saved to sim and had a brainwave and moved them all to phone and now its all good and shows name
