Hangouts VOIP call - can't enter tones

I just tried calling a Fred Meyer store location:
https://www.fredmeyer.com/

And they have an automated system where you have to press 1, 2, 3, etc.

I called via Hangouts VOIP, and my numeric tones don't work at all.

Any solution to this?
